Dr. Adriana Rotundo

Dr. Adriana Rotundo is a consultant general, laparoscopic, and bariatric surgery at Reem Hospital. She studied in Italy and completed her residency at La Sapienza College in Rome. She is the director of the International Bariatric Club (IBC) in the Middle East and a member of international societies and associations, including the Emirates Medical Association (EMA), the Emirates Surgical Metabolic and Bariatric Society (ESMBS), and the Mini Gastric Bypass Collaborative Research Group. She completed a bariatric fellowship at the University College Hospital in London and received her accreditation from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr. Adriana specializes in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and hiatal hernia, from diagnosis to surgical treatment, as well as gastric bypass and other relevant areas. Prior to joining Reem Hospital, Dr. Adriana was associated with well-known healthcare institutions in the UK, such as John Radcliffe Hospital and University Hospital of North Midlands. She also worked in renowned facilities in the UAE where she performed numerous weight loss procedures including mini and standard gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric banding, and balloon insertion. Dr. Adriana is highly experienced in revision weight loss procedures for patients who did not achieve the desired result with the first procedure and need a second procedure to achieve a better result.
